How to Play SHAP10R
Updated: April 2, 2026
SHAP10R is a puzzle game where each board hides a secret answer. Your job is to find that answer by making guesses and watching the clues. A Shaplor is just one shape-and-color piece.
Goal
Find the hidden answer before you run out of rows. In Just Play, the answer uses five pieces. In Daily Glimpse, it uses six. Every row gives you more clues about what belongs in the answer and where it should go.
Core Rules
- Fill the row with pieces using the on-screen keyboard.
- Submit the row only when every slot is filled.
- Read the feedback colors for each position.
- Use the target number and clue colors to make a better next guess.
You cannot use the same piece twice in one row. Once you find a piece that belongs in the answer, keep using that clue in later rows.
Feedback Colors
- Green: the right piece in the right spot.
- Yellow: the right piece, but in the wrong spot.
- Blank: that piece is not part of the answer.
Green clues are your strongest clues because they show a perfect match. Yellow clues are also helpful because they tell you a piece belongs somewhere else on the board.
Value System
Shapes and colors both help build the target number. That means the number at the top is not just decoration. It is another clue you can use while you play. For example, if you swap one piece in your next guess and the target number changes, you have learned something about what that piece is worth.
Modes
- Just Play: replayable games with Normal and Hard difficulty.
- Daily Glimpse: a daily puzzle with a quick extra hint early in the round.
Normal mode gives a bit more guidance, while Hard mode expects more from the player. Daily Glimpse is great for players who like coming back for a fresh puzzle.
Tips for New Players
- Take a quick look at the target number before you submit a row.
- Yellow means keep that piece in play, just move it around.
- Use what you learned from one row in the next one.
- Try Just Play first if you want to learn the game at your own pace.
